    Uniquely Powerful

Our family has been fascinated by this for years, but have had difficulty finding a replacement since we donated our original to our boy's school.

The graphical presentation of contemporaneous and sequential empires in world history is a fantastic way to get an instinctive feel for the sweep of time and the ebb and flow of cultures and their relative power.

One may quibble with the criteria used by the author to determine relative strengths - but the point is not to break out a micrometer and thereby miss the great lesson of history.

Every senior classroom in the world should have one.
