Overview

Stealing time. Cheating death. Breaking hearts. Gregory Faa is an Otherworldly man on a mission in the new Time Thief short story from New York Times bestselling author Katie MacAlister.

Gwenhwyfar Byron Owens is a Wiccan on the edge—of the law. With two mothers who excel on breaking the rules of the Otherworld’s Watch, Gwen is used to dealing with their troublesome situations. But when she’s snatched from the jaws of death itself, it’s not her moms who give her grief, it’s the drop-dead gorgeous man who saved her life.

Traveller Gregory Faa may be many things—time stealer, outlier, troublemaker—but there’s one thing he isn’t: hip to the fact that death has very little patience with people who don’t die when they’re supposed to…

Includes previews of Time Thief and The Art of Stealing Time

Please stop making these short novellas. This goes out to all publishers who are now using the novella as a marketing tool. Katie is a terrific author but the novella cheapens her work and makes her look money hungry just as it does every other author that is being forced or tricked into writing these! The storylines could be lengthened and enjoyed. What a waste of tge written word!

Don't waste your money. This doesn't even qualify as a novella. Perhaps as a 'teaser' at the end of a book it would be acceptable, but to market it as a novella is beyond ridiculous.

If zero stars were an option, that's what this would get. I can't believe I paid for that! It's NOT a novella. That infers that it tells a short but complete story. This is a long prologue to the first book. Barely an introduction to the characters, something of a plot, and absolutely no resolution! To top all of that off, it's written in this annoying format like it is a series of reports assembled by different characters. Complete rip off. If this had been a FREE sample as a teaser for the new series, well that would be a different story, but to willfully deceive people by calling it a novella is bad form. I do think the characters were interesting, and the actual books in the series will probably be good. But even if the info in this "novella" is necessary to understanding the future plots of those books, I still think it was a total scam to sell it like this.

As others have said, it is not a Novella. This 36 page "teaser" should have been offered as a freebie. Deplorable. I wish I hadnt bought the second book already. Im not sure if Ill buy more from MacAlister.

Our Review, by LITERAL ADDICTION's Pack Alpha - Chelle: Time Crossed is a Traveller novella in which we continue the story of Gregory Faa (cousin to the hero of book #1), and meet Gwen Owens, another spunky, spirited, and wackily witty Katie MacAlister heroine that you can't help but love, caught in a snapshot of time as their lives cross as fate intended...   Given the length of this novella, the fact that I don't do spoilers, and simply because it truly is just an introduction to the stars of The Art of Stealing Time, book #2, and a teaser of what we can expect in that book with these 2, this review is going to be very short and not very exciting, I'm afraid... Suffice it to say that I can tell from this novella that book #2 is going to be super fun with snark aplenty, and that the cat and mouse between our hero and heroine will be quite exciting indeed! Readers should take this novella as it is though, it's not a full story. If you go in with that expectation you will be sorely disappointed. There isn't much plot development and it pretty much just ends. If you go into it ooking at it as more of a combo epilogue of book #1/prologue to book #2, and realize that it's meant as a between full-length release teaser to be used as an introductory segue to book #2, you'll be much more pleased. It was entertaining and most definitely had me wanting book #2 immediately, so I think it did its job. :)
