    Fair.

The book, 'A Time to Die", by author Lurlene McDaniel is an emotional roller coaster ride. The main character, Kara Fischer, has Cystic Fibrosis better known as CF. Kara undergoes "thumps" three times a day. This is when Kara hangs upside down and gets her back pounded on o dislodge mucus from her lungs. CF victims rarely live until their early thirties, so Kara at age fifteen is already worried about her life span. When Kara was six she met Vince Chapman in the hospital and realized that he also has Cystic Fibrosis. From then on out the were best friends. After Kara was over a cold that hospitalized her, she returned to school again. When she had arrived back the first day, she showed around a new student named Eric Lawrence. He was her physical therapist's brother who recently moved to town to get away from his nagging parents. Kara and Eric hit it off the first day they met. However, when Eric found out about Kara's condition he avoided her. He thought he just couldn't handle dating a girl who wouldn't live until she was even forty. Eventually he realizes that he can't stay away from her. They understand they love each other, before they get the chance to do anything about it Kara goes into critical condition. Kara does not pull through, but she leaves behind a gift for each of her four best friends: Christy, Eric, Vince, and Elyse. She had recently been given a hundred thousand dollars because someone found out that she had CF and wanted to make her happy by giving her anything that money could buy. She gave Vince money to buy a new top of the line weight room so that he can get as strong as Arnold. Christy was given money to start medical school because she didn't have the money so she became a physical therapist. Elyse was given money to go on a shopping spree until the money ran out. She gave Eric money to restore his care to mint condition. I recommend this book to anyone and everyone who likes realistic stories.

    Excellant book !

This book was the most tear giving book it tells you of a one girl struggle between life & death. Her desire to be at school around those who love her. At the beginning Before Kara dicharge from the hospital therapist & friend tells her her brother would be staying with her & to show him around at school. She leaves & says her goodbye to vince & he uses his kind sweet words it makes us think she likes him. Little did she know she'd fall for for eric charms.Around eric she covers up her illness & likes the way he treats her 'normal'.When Eric figures the truth he tries to avoid her but deep inside he's hurting.Vince who comes out of the hospital is the only person who could relate to Kara.By the end Vince relizes Kara wants him only as a friend & Eric is who she really likes. She dies but leaves all her friends something to remember her bye.I hope you enjoy this story as much as I did .Just remember as soon as you open this book you cant put it down.

ANOTHER EXCELLENT BOOK BY LURLENE MCDANIEL!

I had never heard of cysitic fibrosis before reading this book. I learned what they have to go through and how CF people must feel. When I finished this book I had tears in my eyes. Lurlene McDaniel is a very touching and detailed author. A must read!

    Emotionally Moving

She is a stunning author. I myself have CF and she brings in into a whole new perspective, even to me. It is an emotionally moving book from start to finish. I wish half the authors I read were as captivating as she is.

    Outstanding!!!

Kara Fischer born with unfortunate disease and need to be in the hospital constantly. But in there she met Vince Chapman, who also had CF like her. They became friends, but Vince have special feelings for her. Then Kara met Eric Lawrence, the new kid, who also the brother of her's nurse Chrissy. Eric also like her but Vince is pretty jealous. Kara likes Vince but she likes him as friend. She loike Eric more than that. But Kara's sickness is too overwhelm now and she might die. Could Eric or Vince help her to overcome her illness or is it fate for her to die?

    An Outstanding Book

A time to Die is a great book, although it is a sad, something good comes out of it. Maybe the reason I really like this book is because it deals with real life. So many bad things happen in this world and the book in a way kinda makes you feel grateful, because you realize that no matter how bad things seem for you, some people have it worse. Until I read this book I didn't even know that CF exsisted (You'll find out what that is when you read this book).
