A perfect accompaniment to a floral arrangement come Mother's Day

I think I just got a most cherished gift for Mother's Day =)

My grandmother gave me my first devotional book during my freshman year in university. With a crazy student schedule, I found it a very good reminder to spend sometime alone with the Lord. Since then, I have been collecting devotional book and even buying as gifts for friends and family. So when Book Sneeze gave a heads up there will be devotional books available by mid-March, I marked my calendar.

The book arrived a week ago and it is just wonderful! It has a 100 glossy page with beautiful hard-bound cover. I especially like the fact that it is small enough to fit in my everyday bag - particularly my camera bag. I've been bringing it on morning walks with my son and when he spends hours playing on the sand, I read on.

It has 90 Scripture-led devotions specifically picked out for Mothers to provide strength for the soul on especially challenging situations. It has Table Of Contents so when you particularly feel your patience is running out, you can sooth your soul and read Patience That Comes From The Lord. When you are feeling overwhelmed with all the family work and schedule, you can flip on A Season Of Grace. There is something to read when mothers need encouragement, when you need a heart to forgive, or simple, gentle reminder on a mother's character. It's just a lovely token for every Mom you know.I share with you my favorite Scripture from the book:

Call to Me and I will answer you, and show you great and mighty things, which you do not know.
    [Jeremiah 33.3]

If you are keen to delight a Mom this coming Mother's Day, Time With God For Mothers is a perfect accompaniment to a floral arrangement.

    Nice but small

Are you in need of a little encouragement? Do the dishes and laundry tend to have priority over the Word of God? Maybe you need this litter book! "Time with God for Mothers" is a little devotional book that won't take you all day to read. The devotions are short and to the point, and there is a verse or two at the top of each page, so you don't have to look up the references. After you read the verses, you will read a short devotional about them. There are not day markings or anything like that, so you can pick it up whenever you want, read whatever passage fits your needs, and be refreshed and encouraged!

I was surprised at how little this book it, but it has a nice hardback cover. There are sections for reference in the back, including mother's prayers in the Bible, and a short topical scripture index on responsibilities, challenges and promises in a mother's life. There is also a section for your own notes, which is a nice touch. The pages are decorated with beads and flowers, and are charming. I was a little frustrated with the devotions, as they are very 'short and sweet'. I have come to expect most of devotional books to be a little on the shallow side, but these are very short also. However, sometimes I realize that 'short and sweet' is just what we need in our daily life, when we may only have a quick moment between rising and our children crying for breakfast, or a second between laundry and snack time, to get a little refreshment and encouragement from the Word.

    You'll want this book!

Time with God for Mothers I had the opportunity to review this beautiful little devotional. It has wonderful flowers on the cover and throughout all the pages. There are 90+ devotionals covering all sorts of topics; they didn't seem to miss one that I can see. There is a "Presented To" page just inside the cover for gift giving. Whether you are giving this as a gift or keeping it for yourself, it's a special little book; one you won't want to be without. I received this book free from Thomas Nelson Publishers as part of their Booksneeze book review bloggers program. I was not required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own. I am disclosing this in accordance with the Federal Trade Commission's 16 CFR, Part 255: "Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising."

    Wonderful Book for Mothers

Time with God for Mothers is a devotional written for mothers with full schedules. It contains 90 short devotions on a multitude of topics that provide guidance, comfort and just opportunities for spiritual growth. The length of each devotion allows mothers to read at opportune times like first thing in the morning, during a nap or at the end of the day. Many of the topics presented supply a sense of biblical peace that one needs when having a busy or hectic day.

I was provided the eBook version of Time with God for Mothers to review. The table of contents made it easy for me to choose exactly what I felt like I needed to read each time I opened it. I also liked the fact that I could bookmark particular passages or devotions that I wanted to go back to or share with others. There are many times during the week that I feel pulled in a million directions between my boys, work, home, church, family obligations and etc. It is nice to have a brief moment to focus on what is truly important and this book allows an outlet to do just that.

Disclosure of Material Connection: I received this book free from the publisher through the BookSneeze®.com book review bloggers program. I was not required to write a positive review. The opinions I have expressed are my own. Time with God for Mothers

Hi there- it's me again:) I've gotten a new book from booksneeze- "Time with God for Mothers" by Jack Countryman. Before I get started, let me say that due to some law, I don't have to give this a good review. I'm under no legal obligation to do so, so whatever I say is how I really feel. Now that everyone understands, let's get started. I'm not a mom, so I don't know really why I ordered this. It must have been how pretty the cover was- a soft creamy color background with three pale flowers with jeweled stems. It just looks elegant. Sweet. The contents of this book are just as pleasing. It's not neccesarily a theologically deep book, but it's filled with short little devotionals that are perfect for the harried mother. Good reminders for patience, forgiveness, so on and so forth. This book, like I said, it fairly elementary, so it's probably best for a new mother or a new Christian. I do like this book though- it's a perfect gift book. In fact, I intend on passing it on to a mother that I know that would appreciate this. Overall, I would give this book a good four out of five stars:)
