Blacksmith Dougal MacBride walks into his home after a long day and finds strangers celebrating Hogmanay when it's just days before Christmas. Confused beyond belief and incredibly aroused by the curvaceous bundle in front of his hearth, he is torn between the need to return to his time or remain in the present with the woman who may be his soul mate.

Short & sweet, hot & funny. There’s some of everything in this latest release from Kayden Claremont. She allows the past and the present to collide in unforgettable ways in this intriguing time travel romance. Claremont sets the scene well, giving readers peeks at both the main characters’ perspectives, while also allowing us to see the differences in the times we visited. The narrative was well written, enhancing the enchanting tale that was woven upon the pages. Heated moments were interspersed with times when the characters stepped back and got to know one another, creating a solid relationship as well as an entertaining story. When the hero of the story is a caring, drool worthy Scot, how can a girl go wrong? Dougal was a blast to get to know as he encountered the 21st century for the 1st time. Tasha was a great heroine as well. I loved how she understood where Dougal came from and wanted to help him. I enjoyed the will they-won’t they aspect to this relationship as the main characters both tried to do what they felt was best for the other. This may have been my first foray into Claremont’s work, but it certainly won’t be my last. She has created a novella that had me engaged emotionally and imaginatively. It was a fantastic treat! Please note that I received a complimentary copy of this work in exchange for an honest review.
