About the Author

Darlene Artell Hartman/“Simon Lang,” began writing professionally in the early 1950’s for The Hour of St. Francis, then the largest private film studio west of the Mississippi. Her PSA’s during the Desegregation Crisis were written up in Newsweek Magazine; and her novice film, “Victory,” won the Catholic Academy for Communication Arts Professionals “Gabriel” Award, and introduced a young Jack Nicholson. She went on to write five scripts for the original Star Trek, and was on staff, as she says, “for about 20 minutes,” until ill health sidelined her television writing career. She has three more novels on the way, as well as several more books in the Einai Series.
