I suggest this guide for anyone who grows fruits, vgetables, flowers, or shrubs. It is especially informative for the beginner, with it's soil preparation and time saving hints. I liked the 24 planting techniques for different vegetables. The chapter on pests included a list of a dozen clever tricks for pest and disease prevention. The section on weeding and mulching is great for specific crops. Harvesting and pruning times were concise. This book was an easy read. I liked the fact thst words were high-lighted and hints were plentiful. The illustrations on poles, trellises, bed making, and row markers are so helpful. I plan to use this book as a reference guide.
