Editorial Reviews

Children's Literature
All Jack wants is a basketball scholarship. That is what he thinks going into his senior year, anyway. Soon enough, that dream begins to unravel as his mother lies in the hospital after an almost fatal car accident, his too tough dad is falsely imprisoned for embezzlement, and star player, Jack, is mysteriously cut from the basketball team. Add to that a strange death threat and home break-in, and Jack finds himself in the battle of a lifetime; the battle to find the truth that connects it all. With the help of his father’s friend, Ike, and a few others, Jack begins to unravel the strange mystery that has become his life. Along the way, he discovers many truths about himself, his father, and other people in his life. Judging from the book’s cover, one would think this story revolves solely around basketball, and it does to a small degree, but as readers become more involved in the story and in Jack they will see that it is about so much more than that. This book is part of the “Orca Sports” series and is a recommended read. Reviewer: Trina Heidt

"Don't move," came a harsh whisper. "Don't try to turn around. I've got a gun."

Someone had come up behind me from the dark hallway that led to the bedrooms.

That same someone snapped off the light at the switch on the wall. That left us alone in the dark, me and someone with a gun and a harsh whisper.

The book was crazy, hilarious, and serious all at the same time!

The book was crazy, hilarious, and serious all at the same time! I've never read a book quite like "Titan Clash".

With his mom in the hospital, and his dad wrongly accused and stuck in jail, Jack is starting to feel like everything has turned against him.
Jack is a star on his high school basketball team, and he's used to life running as it should. But somebody is after his family, trying to ruin each of their lives, it seems. There's so many questions that Jack has, but to answer them, he's going to have to get out from dangerous situations, decide who is telling the truth, and even save his best friend from some odd events.

I really liked this book. In every chapter there is some new & interesting element, or surprising twist to the story. Can't wait to read more of Sigmund Brouwer!
