About the Author

My first book 'Tearing up the Silk Road' was published by Garnet in August 2012. It details a journey along the ancient trade routes from China to Istanbul, through Central Asia, Iran and the Caucasus. In December 2013, my second full length travel book 'Voodoo, Slaves and White Man's Graves: West Africa and the End of Days' was published. I also helped found the alternative travel magazine Wicked World (www.wickedworld.net).
