Editorial Reviews

Booklist - Kristine Huntley
Dempsey, author of FALLING STAR, delivers another enticing read, complete with a captivating mystery and spicy, sexy romance.
Romantic Times - Sheri Melnick
Alicia Maldonado may have landed the case that could make her career: the murder of golden boy Daniel Gaines .. Tough and self-assured, Alicia is a likable protagonist who achieved success through grit and determination .. Dempsey's low-on-glamour depiction of the DA's office is on the mark, lending much credibility to this suspenseful novel. The romantic sparring between Alicia and Milo sparkles with wit and adds sensuality to this sizzling, tension-filled mystery.
The Romance - Readers Connection
Wow! In TO CATCH THE MOON, Ms. Dempsey's talent shines with vibrant characters in a fluid narrative rich in detail. Events move quickly with ever increasing tension to a satisfying conclusion .. Readers will find themselves delightfully consumed by the passion and drama, which feels so realistic, it could have come straight out of the headlines! .. As a reader, it is always a treat to find a "new to me" author to add to my "must buy" list and Ms. Dempsey is definitely among the top of that list!
Romance - Reviews Today
It was jolly good fun getting to the end of the book and finding out who really offed Daniel Gaines. I look forward to reading more from this talented author. TO CATCH THE MOON is a suspense novel of the highest order and is a must buy.
Books - For a Buck
As in her first novel, FALLING STAR, Diana Dempsey creates realistic and memorable characters, complete with flaws, that you can really root for; then she puts them into trouble so terrible you can't figure out how they'll ever triumph. The author immerses the reader in a well-researched world of money and power, ambition and greed, and surprise plot twists. This is an author to watch.

    A must-read

To Catch the Moon is that rare treat these days - a smart, fast-paced novel that also happens to be heart-stoppingly romantic and deliciously fun. Alicia Maldonado is an up-and-coming prosecutor from hardscrabble beginnings who's still reeling from a case that nearly derailed her career and shattered her self-esteem. But when a flamboyant, internationally-known millionaire is found brutally murdered, Alicia finally has a chance to regain her footing and shine like she's never shone before. But can she successfully prosecute the case without sacrificing the scruples that have always defined her? And what of the handsome news reporter with the hundred-watt smile who seems as interested in her as he is in the case? Does she dare trust this seductive stranger? And more importantly, can she trust her heart? To Catch the Moon is blessed with sharply-drawn characters, a dreamy Northern California locale, fiery romance and a twisty, edge-of-your-seat thrill around every corner. And in Alicia Maldonado, the author has created a sympathetic, three-dimensional heroine for the 21st century.

    Highly recommended

This is a real page-turner, equal amounts mystery and romance. Loved the Latina heroine, who must face obstacles in both her career and her love life. The hero is to die for, though as with most alpha males, I did want to slap him once or twice. Great story.
