More About This Book

Overview

Genre: BDSM Contemporary Suspense
Series: Masters of the Shadowlands; Previous Book: Make Me, Sir

Determined to find the human traffickers preying on Shadowlands' submissives, Master Raoul gets himself invited to a small slave auction. Once informed, the FBI orders him to reject the limited choices so the slavers will invite him to the big auction. To Raoul's shock, one of the slaves is the kidnapped friend of a Shadowlands sub. She has a scarred body...and an unbroken spirit. He can't leave her behind. Ruining the FBI's carefully laid plans, he buys her.

Kimberly's freedom has come at a devastating price: the other women are still slaves. An FBI raid is their only hope for rescue. Desperate to help the Feds locate the big auction, she agrees to pose as Master Raoul's slave. Wearing a collar again is terrifying, but under the powerful dominant's care, Kim starts to heal and then to blossom. This is what she's been drawn to-and fled from-her entire life.

She escaped the slavers who captured her body-can she escape the master who's captured her heart?

Thanks a lot ms sinclair! i've been going to work dead as a dog

Thanks a lot ms sinclair! i've been going to work dead as a dog staying up to read each of the shadowland series books!!! i want to read til the end of the chapter but get sucked into the next chapter until i'm "almost done" then i just stay up to finish it. LOVE LOVE LOVE the stories! Your characters reinforce my thought: not all guys are men, not all men are gentlemen, some gentlemen are perfectly naughty! Thanks! keep writing!

    edgy novel

Caution: Some may find this edgy novel hard to read as it does contain details of human trafficking that is not tied up in a pretty little bow. One instance is that Kimberly has to continuously fight against her memories of rape and torture. In my opinion, the details are both vague enough that there is not a play by play of each gory scene and yet descriptive enough that the reader will truly get the emotional, mental, and physical battle that Kimberly deals with. Wonderful again

If kink is your read then Cherise Sinclair is your author. She weaves a good love story into the kink of the club life that leaves you panting and flushed. Each book tells the story of another Dom coming to life with the sub of his dreams. This Dom sets out to help uncover a slave trade and it gets interesting! The entire series is a must read!

Master Raoul Sandoval is helping FBI investigate The Harvest Ass

Master Raoul Sandoval is helping FBI investigate The Harvest Association's slavery ring. His job is to meet potential slaves then turn them down to gain access to the auction. His plans are blown when he meets Kimberly "Kim" Moore Master Marcus's sub Gabi's friend. Kim chants move thru the pain to get this night over with because she doesn't want to be used by The Overseer's staff if she's not sold. Kim gets the shock of her life when Master R takes an active interest in her. Master R destroys FBI's plan by buying Kimberly because he can't leave her there. Kimberly is shocked and surprised by the care Master R takes with her which brings her a measure of safety. Kimberly has rough time adjusting to being free. Raoul takes steps to insure that Kimberly is safe which include Master/Slave relationship. He never thought to be in a place where he'd do this again. Will Kimberly learn to trust Master R? Can Kimberly overcome her fears? Will Kimberly help FBI investigation? How does Master Raoul feel about all of this? Your answers await you in To Command and Collar.

I could relate to the certain levels of abuse portrayed in this book. I admired Kimberly's courage to face her fears. It's something I hope to strive to in my own life. Master Raoul can appear to be gruff but really he's a gentle soul filled with compassion. I look forward to my next adventure in Club Shadowlands Series.

Not as good as the others

I am a sucker for Latin men and was anxious to read Raoul's story. Sorry to say it fell short of the other Masters' books. I had a very hard time believing that love was enough of a reason to betray your free will. Kimberly was not a slave and yet she relinqished her "self" for the sake of Raoul's lifestyle. I would have preferred to see her retain more of her self respect than compromise her independence and bend to his will.

    WOW!!

Did not realize I was getting this before reading Make Me Sir,the book that comes before this in the series. How nice to discover it made no difference!
The H/h are both so intense and to have their issues resolved in a believable manner was great.
