Excerpt:

Nate bent to press a warm kiss to my forehead before turning to let himself out of the office. But something surged within me, and I pled, “Wait.”

Nate half-turned. “For what?”

“Me.” I stood, meeting his gaze, stepping in to hold his forearms. “If we are careful – I’d be so careful, Nate – when can we see each other again?”

He frowned at me, not angry but thoughtful. “This sort of seeing each other?” He dropped his hand to squeeze my package.

“Yes.” My God, I wanted to have him right here and now.

He chewed his lip in thought. “Go to the Second Inn at the end of the day. Get a room, and I’ll meet you there as soon as I’m able.” He smiled, teeth glinting. “And then we can pretend you’re some luscious catamite I’ve rented for the evening.”

My heart thudded against my ribcage. “Then I’ll see you tonight.”

Nate must have been more desperate for intimacy than he would ever let on – he always let me be the one to plead – since he would consent to meet me for a tryst in spite of his family’s suspicions. I waited in my room at the inn, belly tense and skin prickling in anticipation. It had been far too long.

When I heard footsteps down the hall, I cracked the door, and Nate let himself in a moment later. “Apologies,” he said. “Papa kept me late in the office tonight….”

I hardly listened, my fingers working at his breeches as I fell to my knees before him. “Tell me,” I breathed over his soft lower belly right before I tugged his breeches down entirely, “how exactly does a catamite fuck?”

Nate was watching me with equal parts shock and amusement. “Stephen, I don’t know, you think I’ve ever…oh.” He finally understood my roleplay – better late than never. He drew himself up taller, now an ostensible client to an obsequious boy before him. “Take those off,” Nate commanded, gesturing to me. “I need to see your breeches ‘round your ankles.”
