There are few books which you must read in your lifetime. There are few books which will leave an indelible mark on your consciousness. To Kill A Mockingbird is one such book. I had to read To Kill A Mockingbird as part of a summer reading assignment when I was in high school. Certainly, reading this piece was anything but a task. I couldn't put it down. I became so engrossed that my brother got interested and read it too. My brother was so taken with the book that he started calling me 'Boo Radley' and continued to do so for many years. This book leaves you with something to think about for years to come. You keep a piece of it in your heart.

The book To Kill a Mockingbird is a very good book. I would recommend it to anyone in high school or older. This book is about a family growing up and going through hardships and overcoming them. Atticus, the father, is in my opinion a great example of a single parent. His children, Jem and Jean Louise (Scout) love him and respect him. Jem and Scout have a great brother/sister relationship. This is a really good book to read for school or just to past the time.
