    Well-written, but too short!

I won't lie, I bought this book because the story was about an interracial couple, like my husband and myself. I didn't have high hopes for it, because such stories tend to be cliche, or the authors never let the characters get past predjudices, real or imagined! This read like a short story, just long enough to make me want more. Unlike so many of Smashwords' books, this one is well-written, and devoid of grammatical mistakes! This is a perfect read when you have a short amount of time. I read this while waiting for my hubby's physical therapy session to end.

Was this a story of my life?

Loved the story! It reminds me of my own life. My father was a pastor, my first bf who spent time in jail and had a ton of tattoos(my parents were open minded and loved him), oh and I lived in Sacramento for the last six years... I felt so connected to the story I flew through it great job!!!

    Very romantic

I really enjoyed this book. It was romantic sweet, and steamy. I loved the difference between the two characters but I think that's what makes them jell together so well and made them likable. I saw this book on sale and skipped over it for months now after reading the overview (I'm not much into tatoos.) It was a pleasant suprise. You should check it out. It isn't as awful as the overview suggested.

    Beautiful Story

I was very surprised by this story...sweet, romantic, yet honest. Jake is a tatooed, ex-convict and Charity is a Pastor's daughter; you'd think just on that pretense alone that they'd be a recipe for distaster. But love conquers all right??? I'd suggest this to anyone to read, especially since it's free, which is an added bonus. Good job Ms. Hunt :o)

    Free & Good

Because it was free, I thought it wasn't going to be worth my time. However, I was pleasantly surprised. I enjoyed the book immensely from the beginning. The main characters were total opposites, but I think that is what made them connect. I understood Jake's reluctance for full disclosure when you think you will lose someone you care about. I liked how the author brought everything to light. This was a great find!

    Free but really short

This book was written at a beginners level. Because the book was short the writer had to squeeze in too much emotion too quickly. The outcome was horrible. If you have nothing better to do with your time, by all means read this book.

Very good story. Too short would have love for it to expand more on the relationship. Not bad for a free read.

I really enjoyed this free read very much. It is about love and making mistakes when you were young. Over coming them. Very good job and I loved the romance in this book. J...... :)

    Good

Good short read about an interracial couple. I liked how it showed that both black and white people can have biased views on a mixed relationship.

Decent for a free read, but Jake was unconvincing as a committed boyfriend. It seemed Charity sacrificed
more than he did, even in their lovemaking, especially given that she was virgin. I wouldn't recommend this
unless you are low on money and have a couple of hours to blow.
