When Emily decides to move in with her dad Blayke Payne; that was the best decision of her life. You see Blayke is a goth guy and lead of the band VWN (vampires walk naked), and to top it off; the place they perform at is called "The Coffin Club". Emily is a goth girl, so she and her dad get along like two peas in a pod. They like the same foods, decor, music, dress in dark colors and they share a commonality; hanging out at the Coffin Club. What a cool dad! Ever since she moved in with her dad, Emily felt as if she was being watched. One night she had that feeling and she looked out her window...only to see a bat with different eye colors staring at her. She looked away and the bat was gone. How strange was that? Anyways, on one occasion, Emily went out the wrong door in the club and got locked out. To her surprise, she meets a mysterious goth guy with two different eye colors...deja vu. She feels an instant connection to him, like she met him before. His name is Jagger Maxwell. Since Emily is living with her dad, she still has to attend school. Just what Emily wants to hear (not). Now she has to try to fit in. Emily is proud of who she is, and doesn't care who likes her and who doesn't. What happens between the mysterious goth guy and her? Will Emily fit in at school? Are there others like her, or will she be the outcast? Read on and find out for yourself.

It was okay. I liked the story line and even like the secondary characters. But Emmy was just to much for me, always oh I don't think I'm pretty, oh gosh I might be a slut. Lol it was still good, but her inner monolog was repetitive. Also, I didn't like how the author was for example; I'm climbing into my Nightmare Before Christmas blanket, I fall onto my nightmare before Christmas blanket, I wear my blank blank jacket, I turn on my blank blank lamp, everytime Emmy uses the same things, we've caught on by the first chapter what her room, blankets, and lamps look like. I didn't feel it was necessary to continue to discribe what kind they were every time.

Enjoyed until each moment the branding (scene hair, Night before Christmas), blah blah, the brand of my handbag, my brush, my phone, my other numerous daily use items comes into play. Over and over and over again. Under 100 pages and irritating beyond imagining.
