    Freedom made explicit

Cooper's collection here is a phenomenal, reasoned, educated reflection of the mindset of the honorable man (or woman for sure). Gun essays anchor the book but is about so much more than that. What is best about Cooper's mind is his pragmatism. We are made to understand he arrived at his ideas as the best, most direct route to the solution. With respect to guns this "do only what works" mentality comes through loud and clear.
I disagree on several of his points. Nevertheless, this does not stop me from gaining huge amounts of useful information from this volume. If you disagree with the contents of this book, you had better know your stuff because believe that Cooper does! When it comes to guns, he knows it cold.
For more information, research "Gunsite Academy" in Arizona where Cooper's ideas on weaponcraft live on and are taught daily.
