Welcome to the charming Scottish seaside town of Gandiegow—where two people have returned home for different reasons, but to find the same thing.…

Caitriona Macleod gave up her career as an investigative reporter for the role of perfect wife. But after her husband is found dead in his mistress’s bed, a devastated Cait leaves Chicago for the birthplace she hasn’t seen since she was a child. She’s hoping to heal and to reconnect with her gran. The last thing she expects to find in Gandiegow is the Sexiest Man Alive! She just may have stumbled on the ticket to reigniting her career—if her heart doesn’t get in the way.

Graham Buchanan is a movie star with many secrets. A Gandiegow native, he frequently hides out in his hometown between films. He also has a son he’ll do anything to protect. But Cait Macleod is too damn appealing—even if she is a journalist.

Quilting with her gran and the other women of the village brings Cait a peace she hasn’t known in years. But if she turns in the story about Graham, Gandiegow will never forgive her for betraying one of its own. Should she suffer the consequences to resurrect her career? Or listen to her battered and bruised heart and give love another chance?

To Scotland With Love is the debut novel of author Patience Griffin. I thoroughly enjoyed this story! It was wonderful with fantastic characters who are so real and well crafted. I am totally in love with this small coastal town and want to move there straightaway. Graham Buchanan is hiding out from his movie star life. Cait Macleod has returned home to salvage what's left of her life. When she accidentally meets Graham, she sees an opportunity to reboot her journalism career by exposing his secret home town to the world. But will she be able to go through with it?

'Twas a verra good story and I canna wait to read more from this author! :)

The storyline grabbed me and I just had to read it. I was not disappointed! The characters were very likable and by the end of the book, I had become invested in them. To me, that is how you know a book is good! I loved how the book wasn't just about the romance, but also about the heroine's life and the other people in the town. I cannot believe that this is the author's first book. The writing was such that I would believe that she has been doing this for a very long time.

I felt like I was transported to Scotland and I'm really looking forward to the next book in the series. I'm hoping there will be a trilogy movie deal starring Hugh Jackman and Emma Stone! To Scotland With Love is the first novel by newcomer, Patience Griffin. It is a wonderful, heartwarming, believable story. Her descriptions of the small town of Gandiegow and its people make you feel as though they are your friends. The heroine, Cait, is a journalist trying to get away from problems and restart her life and career in a new setting. By chance she meets Graham Buchanan, a famous movie star, and decides to do a story on him which might lead to getting back to her career. Her struggles with her conscience and her feelings for Graham make this story very compelling. I loved the story and will read it again and again. I can hardly wait for the second book in the Kilts and Quilts trilogy

A heart-touching read about a woman who has to stitch the pieces

A heart-touching read about a woman who has to stitch the pieces of her life back together in a Scottish town. A heroine you'll root for and a hero you'll fall in love with yourself. I definitely recommend this book to romance and women's fiction readers. You'll love it!

This is Book 1 in Ms. Griffin’s Kilts and Quilts series, but I happened to read it after Book 2…so I was able to gain more knowledge about the Scots people living in Gandiegow, Scotland, and what led up to Gabe and Emma’s story in Book 2.  I am amazed at Ms. Griffin’s knowledge about the language and habits of the Scots people.  I am of Scots ancestry myself and this contemporary story about the Scots in this tiny seacoast village made me feel like I was at home with them, that I understood them.  I cried when they had a funeral for a loved one, I cried when there were personal traumas and celebrations in the vilagers’ lives, I cried over their resolute faith in and love for each other, and I rejoiced in this special romance and promise of a wedding.  I fell in love with Graham, his son Duncan and grandson Mattie.  My heart hurt with Cait’s struggles from past failures and rejections and applauded her strength and honesty in changing her life onto a positive course.  I dearly loved this romance, and I dearly love this series.  I can hardly wait for Book 3!

    Wonderful Debut Novel!

To Scotland With Love is the first in the Kilts and Quilts series by Patience Griffin. This contemporary romance based in Scotland is filled with quirky characters in a close-knit community who pull together when one of their own is in need. I laughed and I cried along with the townspeople.

Ms. Griffin did an excellent job with this story. I look forward to the next book in the series.
