I am speaking for a huge contingency. We are a web board on MSN...a support group for people who have had or are contemplating Weight Loss Surgery. As a FORMER success story, Ms. Wilson ALWAYS catches our attention so, imagine our HORROR when, on GMA while promoting this cookbook, she was cooking with sugar and carbs and saying 'Its ok as long as you eat a little'. UH...no it isn't after surgery!! It is quite obvious that Ms. Wilson has gone back to her 'old ways' of eating..sadly enough. Its especially sadening because so many of us looked to her as an inspiration. This might be a good cookbook for those of us NOT post-weight loss surgery but, unfortunately...Ms. Wilson IS!!Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Great book, lots of updated holiday ideas and usable recipes. New wave food and comfort food with chapters on all meal courses and helpful glossaries and tips. Surprisingly impressive gift for the price. Large, glossy and FULL of color pix, looks like it cost much more than it did. Food is interesting, varied and influenced by many cultures (Greek, Italian, Jewish, Mexican, Hungarian, Japanese), There are both full calorie and low-fat versions of many recipes. Endless entrees plus great starters and desserts. I made the vegetable lasagna with mushroom bechamel sauce, WOW! Lots of compliments! A real winner. I highly recommend this book to both novices and more experienced cooks!!!!Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.
