Meet the Author

Robert Seder, a lifelong writer and artist engaged in the performing arts, was the author of several experimental plays and film scripts and two novels. Original productions included LIGHT (semi-finalist, Julie Harris Playwright Award). He was also a lighting designer for many artists, including Philip Glass, Lucinda Childs and Eric Bogosian. He also taught at the Bard College Institute for Writing and Thinking. After treatment for non-Hodgkins lymphoma in 1994, he wrote To the Marrow, a description of his extraordinary and harrowing journey through bone marrow transplantation and the larger cancer landscape.
