    A Hidden Love

To Win His Wayward Wife by Rose Gordon Book 3 of the Scandalous Sisters Madison Banks was the quiet one. She often stared out the window and daydreamed. She was the most beautiful of the girls but despised being adored for only her beauty. She wanted to be liked for herself as a person not only her outward appearance. Robbie Swift had broken her heart and most people thought that was the reason for her deep sadness. Years ago she had believed herself in love with Robbie's cousin, Leo. He was a scruffy looking fellow but she felt drawn to him. Now that her two sisters were married to Englishmen, their parents had returned to America to settle their holdings and return to England as well. During a party at Brooke's, and Andrew as her guardian, Robbie Swift makes an appearance. While escaping her she ends up in the a dark area with someone else who will not make himself known. When the town gossip finds Madison coming out with Andrew she accuses them of having an affair. Suddenly Benjamin Collins, Duke of Gateway comes out of the shadows to announce their engagement. Benjamin has loved Madison for six years. Now he has his chance to make her his own. He could not be happier at their wedding. Unfortunately Madison is not so happy. He is the man who hired Andrew to ruin one of the Bank's girls so they would return to America after all and he had a reputation as being a bad man. So he had to court and woo his wife but it seemed every step of the way he did the wrong thing. On top of it all, Ben thought that Madison was in love with his nemesis, Andrew Black. I love Ben's character. He ends up being such a different man than what he has been portrayed as in the first two books. Between Robbie trying to get Madison, Ben trying to win her as his wife, Madison fighting to gain a backbone and be heard, and all the other quirks...Rose finishes off this third book in the series as good as the first two. Her humor, adventure and love struggles she gives her characters all come together for a enchanting story. Her next four books are the Groom Series which look to continue with some of the characters we have already met. Such as their cousin.. the nerdy but handsome scientist..Alexander Banks. **Contains sexual situations within marriage.

    Must Read Book!!

To Win His Wayward Wife is the last in a 3 book series. After reading the first two, i couldn't wait to read Madison's story with her mystery man. The beginning of the book shows Madison getting married to a man whose name we do not yet know. If you've read Intentions of the Earl or Liberty for Paul you will already have a clue as to two possible candidates. But if you haven't yet read them, then i would hurry up and get started so you can get to Madison's amazingly emotional and heart warming story. From the previous books, i already had an opinion of the man -an opinion that didn't exactly show him in a good light- and at first i thought i could not be moved in this opinion but very soon i came to understand him and even began to like and care for him! I saw a nicer side to him which i did not think he had and it became clear how much he truly cares for her, even if he doesn't quite know how to show it. The love he has for her feels so real, the kind of love every woman wants. Rose writes with so much emotion that at some points in the book i cried; with both sadness and happiness. Aren't the best books ones that produce a tear or two?

In the story Madison has to marry this mysterious man- to us that is, not her :) -, as much as she doesn't want to but he couldn't be more thrilled. Soon after their marriage, danger appears with a few abductions, gun shots and confessions. Once started, i couldn't put this book down, i was so caught up in her story. Cannot wait for more from Rose, but until then i'll just keep visiting her website for more interviews with the characters. A definite must read book.

Love Who Madison Marries! Great Surprise Factor

I really enjoyed the first two books, and to be honest, I can't remember the last time I had so much fun reading romances. There's something about Rose Gordon's style and humor that pulls you in and makes you care so much about the characters that you wait in expectation for that magic moment where they confess their love to each other. I've enjoyed all of the characters in these books, but what made this one my favorite of the three was the hero and his great love for Madison.

The hero in this book (intentionally left out of the description for the shock value in chapter 2) has secretly loved Madison for years. She had no idea he loved her, and that was what eventually made this book my favorite one. The pining hero is very romantic. I didn't suspect the hero was who he turned out to be, and yes, I was shocked. He was the last person I expected, and I honestly wondered how the author would pull it off since I didn't like him at all after reading Intentions of the Earl. But she did pull it off. His tenderness toward Madison was wonderful. The wedding night blunder did look bad from Madison's point of view, but I understood what he was really telling her and as bad as it was, the real meaning was actually endearing because he held her in such high esteem that he could never think of her the way her horrible ex-suitor did. The ex-suitor, by the way, wants her back, and he had some surprising characteristics that were the mark of a good villain.

The romance that developed between the hero and Madison felt natural and pulled me into loving these two, and I felt fully immersed in the time period. I look forward to reading more of Rose Gordon's books in the future. Oh, and if anyone wonders, this book is wonderfully sensual. It was spicier than the first two, in my opinion, and I did enjoy that. Madison and the hero's first time was one of the best sex scenes I've ever read because of the emotional build-up to it and how satisfactory it was for her. If you read the book, you'll know why it was so important she enjoy sex with the hero.

    Loved it!

All three books in the trilagy were good but I thought this one was the best. Loved the chemistry between Madison and Ben. And a twist I didn't see coming.

    Sweet!

Good story for Madison and Ben. I really liked the way they got together and had a history together, and that Gateway was redeemed and had a chance for his own happy ending. Although he was besotted with Madison for 6 years, he didn't totally lose his head to her. They were a good match and both needed to be taken down a few pegs. After revealing everything and how they knew each other from the past, he should have put her in a carriage to Brook & Andrew to stew a few days, realize her mistakes and let her chase him to London. All in all a good conclusion to the Scandalous Sisters series

I purchased this book and instead received a copy of Liberty for Paul with a line drawn through every word. There is nothing under customer service for how to get the proper copy, but I'm very upset that I paid $3.99 and didn't get the correct book or even a readable version.

Love the series but didn't like this book

The series as a whole was entertaining. This particular effort was horrible. Seems like Gordon was in a hurry and didn't take time to thoughtfully develop her characters. If I hadn't read the rest of her books I would not have finished this one.

    Quick read... But predictable

I enjoyed the book but wasn't thrilled with it because it was so predictable. That's why I gave it three stars instead of four.

    Great Book

This is the third book I've read by Rose Gordon and I have enjoyed all of them. I don't usually read romance but love the historical settings. Her books are have made me laugh at some parts, and left me feeling connected to the characters during their hard times. I would recommend reading this author's works to others.
