Editorial Reviews

Children's Literature - Mandy Cruz
Humvees are mighty machines. The U S Army uses them on various missions. The crew in the Humvee is protected by metal plates that serve as the Humvee's armor. The big tires that the Humvee sits on allow it to travel over any surface such as, sand, rocks, water, and mud. Tires are not the only big part of a Humvee; the engine is big, as well, so it can travel really fast. Humvees have machine gun and grenade launcher mounts. Humvees can also serve as an ambulance or a cargo transport. They are very important to army missions. Color photos capture the versatility of these army vehicles and they are sure to delight any vehicle loving child or give an inside look to children curious about army vehicles. Perfectly translated into Spanish so the bilingual child may perfect his skill or the monolingual child may use this book to learn words in another language. Reviewer: Mandy Cruz
