This is a truly extraordinary e-book! First of all, it's a fantastic guide for a spiritual retreat. It's well written, clear, and very easy to relate to (no surprise, since Father Martin is an engaging and down-to-earth writer). But what really sets this apart are the videos featuring Father Martin (it's like having him as a e-spiritual director explaining and counseling you as you go), not to mention the photos and videos he shot in the Holy Land (which are included to help you visualize the settings of the Scripture passages provided for reflection). I never thought I'd have the time to go on retreat--this is a great alternative!

Fr. Martin's E-retreat was an excellent tool that helped me to get some extra prayer time in. His reflections on the scripture passages provided some new insights into them which helped with getting into a meditative place. His video instructions were simple and informative. For someone who is well versed in scripture and a regular retreat goer this personal retreat that Fr. Martin leads us on was as valuable as going for a 3 day retreat at a retreat house.

Fr. Martin is a good writer, but this book is not what it looks like. I thought it would be a mini retreat via a book, but instead it just teaches you a couple of ways to meditate/pray the Bible. I did not care for it.

Thoroughly enjoyed the book. I especially liked the scenes with music accompaniment.
