Meet the Author

Tom Clancy
Thirty years ago Tom Clancy was a Maryland insurance broker with a passion for naval history. Years before, he had been an English major at Baltimore's Loyola College and had always dreamed of writing a novel. His first effort, The Hunt for Red October, sold briskly as a result of rave reviews, then catapulted onto the New York Times bestseller list after President Reagan pronounced it "the perfect yarn." From that day forward, Clancy established himself as an undisputed master at blending exceptional realism and authenticity, intricate plotting, and razor-sharp suspense. He passed away in October 2013.

    Highly Recomend

This book is written in a first person naritive that flows along quite quickly. It is diferent from the Clancy I'm used to but that is because it is a colaboration with author David Michaels. The story line is fresh and to the point as would be from an Army Character. I like this book and would recomend it to anyone who likes Clancy and his fast moving style.

    Great!

very different storyline than the first book, but plenty of action. Pulls you into the plot and doesn't let go.

    Very interesting

Combat Ops I think focused more on the political and emotional effects of the team. Still had some awesome ops and action packed parts. But there were a few parts where you were sucked in and think "whoa" this stuff happens in real life..Very good read!

    Horrible Read

Story was all over the place. Everything just didn't seem to come together right. On top of that a few characters were killed off(won't mention names). It just seemed that the ghosts were some sloppy squad compared to the professional, kick ass, most elite sec ops squad we are all used to. Really hated this book, and I'm a huge Tom Clancy/Ghost Recon fan.

    Great book

In the first book I had the impression that the ghosts were invincible. I enjoyed this book more to be honest because it shows you that even though the ghosts are an elite squad, they are not by any means invincible. You never see anything coming and it leaves you guessing. I also like how the end in a way leads into endwar with captain mitchel.
