Overview

Unspoiled. Uninhabited. Under attack...

On the wind-swept, Ice-covered continent of Antartica, Roger Gordian's UpLink Technologies has established a scientific research facility called Cold Corners. But its testing of potential robotic landing craft for use on Mars is disrupted when one of the rovers disappears — along with the repair team sent out after it.

Fear of discovery has prompted a renegade consortium — that is illegally using Antartica as a nuclear waste dump — to wipe out the UpLink base. Now, the men and women of Cold Corners have only themselves to rely on as the consortium mounts its decisive strike against the ice station — and the final sunset plunges them into the total darkness of a polar winter.

    Most disappointing Clancy I've read

The huge amount of unnecessary detail in this book left me wondering about Clancy's influence on the writing. The first 100+ pages were spent explaining greed & bigotry as reasons to have the 'superbug' that didn't relate to anything further on in the book. The excruciating scientific detail about how the virus was designed, applied, triggered and ultimately countered left me snoring.

    A Must Read for everyone!

11/26/01 various locales: I've just finished reading this disturbing and engrossing novel and am anxiously awaiting Tom Clancy's next book in this series. The intricate plots are so time relevant to all us now, following the 9/11/01 attacks, that it chills you to the core.....a must read for all!

The suspenseful story with a dark cold twist.

Tom Clancy tells a fictional story about Harlan DeVane, the most dangerous man of the century. Harlan DeVane plants bio-chemical bombs all around the globe. Then he sells the detonator triggers to foreign terrorists around the country. I like the ironic book because the ending was superb. Tom Clancy tells the book in a more detailed style. Relating to this book is in more of a terrorist mind set. If you seek a book with suspense, a book with a twist then drop everything and pick up this book.

    Bio-strike Makes Up!

I have now completed the series and I am pleased w/politika and bio-strike the others were not as impressive or amusing. I liked the book with it having more action sequences and more irony and less confusing talk about stuff I have not yet to relate. This book was a little drawn out but I recommend it!

    Conspricy Theory (pardon the spell)

From a twelve year olds stance this book rulz. Its pretty damn violent though and not meant for the weak stomach. this book can get confusing with its twists and turns and two different sotries eventually intertwining. well it was a good book....

    A Fantastic Book... Clancy Shines

Tom Clancy has always been one of my favorite authors, producing fantastic, thrilling books like Rainbow Six and Bio-Strike. Bio-Strike is an excellent book full of suspense and detail... a great book that can't be missed!

    Disappointing

I was expecting something as exciting and suspenseful as Executive Decision. Instead I read something as boring as watching paint dry on a wall. Don't waste your money
