A great 2nd story after the motorcycle adventures

This book is the 2nd one and leaves off where the motorcycle adventures finished. Tom has obtained the motorboat from the previous story and now begins to improve its design and starts to adventure along the lake. During these trips, he encounters additional characters that will soon be routine participants in his later journies.

I am a big fan of these classic Tom stories because they are easy to read and yet take place about 70 years ago when a lot of Tom and his father's inventions that were spawned from the writer's creativity are in fact now common place in today's society.

Also of interest is the language and writing styles differ from current norms. The phrases and words used to describe people and events (common place at the time) would be minimally alarming and at the worst offensive. So caution when handing this to a <16 year old or be prepared to explain why the book used words not favored in present conversation.

    Best book ever!

Tom Swift and his motorcycle is about a young inventor who has to try to win back his father's pattens from a gang of theifs. It has alot of action and motorcycles running up trees with people on them. They are very olf boooks (101 years old) but very exciting. But, there might be some word that you do not know on them.
