Highly recommended indeed! A must for anyone interested in the tin dollhouses and the dollhouse furniture of the 40's and 50's!

I love this book! I check it constantly it seems for information on my 40's and 50's plastic furniture collection and also about tin dollhouses. It is very informative, as well as having wonderful colored pictures of the houses and furniture. And it goes beyond the 50's into the 60's. I would recommend this book with a top score.

    Nice book to have around

This publication is good to have asa reference more for some of theinformation about the manufacturersof tin dollhouses and plasticfurniture than for any price guide.Prices fluctuate and at this time inthe Spring of 2005, they are lowerthan the listed guide. I thoughtthis would be a 5-star book, but ambeing honest. First, it's more of amagazine than a book; the cover photos just repeat photos inside --different pictures could have beenused to show more examples of thesubject. Some pictures do not showthe furniture well as backgroundcolor is too dark or too similar. In too many cases, referenced itemsare not photographed at all, and ifthe layouts in a photo or on thepage had been given more thought, many more dollhouses or differentviews could have been shown. Still,it has merit for the price and manybaby boomers will appreciate seeingremnants of their childhood onceagain.
