I'm not usually one for zombie books, but Double Dead and Coburn grabbed me, stuffed me into the RV and made me watch the circus unfold around me. I loved it. Now to read the next one!

I really like this book. I bought it from the other reviews here, and I was not disappointed. I like the concept of the dead vs dead.
And Coburn is nowhere need the pretty and lovely vampires in most of today's other novels. Coburn is mean, direct and not to be taken lightly, but he is also a great antihero. An enjoyable character in a world gone bat-crazy.
I like the world and the writing style of Mr. Wendig. I look forward to reading more from him.

Pretty good zombie/vampire mashup. Its a pretty quick read which leaves room for a sequel. I thought that the book could have went into a little more detail. I felt like the first 3/4's of the book was evenly paced but then the last bit was too fast with the blackouts and the easy disposal of the characters.

Double Dead is not the typical sort of book I tend to read but after stumbling upon the author on Twitter and finding both his blog and tweets amusing I decided to buy this book.
Coburn, the main character is a true blue vampire, a monster. He is sarcastic, mean-borderline cruel at times and he, of course, eats people but, even so I found myself rooting for him. I found the situations Coburn found him self in intriguing, often wondering how the heck he would come out the other side alive…or still dead.
I really enjoyed reading this book and hope there will be another book chronicling Coburn’s adventures with zombies.
Also, I loved Creampuff. Future dog will definitely be named after him…but not because I wan to eat him.

I looked forward to the night while reading this superb book. Alone with this book and my reading light I was held hostage. A real page turner! If you are into survival horror this book provides an extremely engaging twist that will have you finding it hard to put down! AMAZING! Coburn, the main character, is awesome and identifiable. Tod Swett approves this book!

Overview
Coburn's been dead now for close to a century, but seeing as how he's a vampire and all, it doesn't much bother him. Or at least it didn't, not until he awoke from a forced five-year slumber to discover that most of human civilization was now dead-but not dead like him, oh no.
See, Coburn likes blood. The rest of the walking dead, they like flesh. He's smart. Them, not so much. But they outnumber him by about a million ...
