    Powerful Information!

As a single believer who just wants to live out this life in a way that is pleasing to God this was great practical information! A covenant isnot something to take lightly and this book I believe if applied offers a ten-fold return on your investment. You won't be disappointed! Thanks Pastor Mike Moore for recommending...

    Wow...umm...

I didn't read this book but the person who wrote the previous review was obviously not thinking about how to do things God's way, but the world's way. What they call 'healthy experimenting' is the junk that often leads to heartache and pain. (Trust me, I used to 'experiment' and I didn't like the results) God doesn't say 'wait' to bug us, but to protect us from junky lust so that we can have His ULTIMATE best in love. (The fairy tale stuff ya know!) I challenge anyone looking to do things GOD's way to read a book like this or ones by Eric/Leslie Ludy, or Joshua Harris (which I did read ;-P).God bless!

This is a KEEPER! I highlighted things on almost EVERY PAGE!

If you are interesting in developing a STRONG, LOVING, PERMANENT relationship, then this book is for you! This book is FANTASTIC! This book fills a niche that is so often missing in our 'disposable relationship' society. Anyone that desires to follow the Christian ideals of morality and is looking to establish a relationship that is deep, interesting, and completely fullfilling... READ THIS BOOK! You will not be sorry! Judging it from it's title, I thought it would be a lesson on morality. This book does stress the importance of morality, but it is SO MUCH MORE! I felt like the book was filled with solid ideas for 'how to's instead of just a list of 'don't's. Not only does it contain information on how to develop a relationship with someone else, but it also teaches you how to be happy with yourself, so that you are 'ready' to find happiness in a realtionship. I am 30 and Christian and LOVED this book! It is easy to read and understand. It is FULL of GREAT, USEABLE ideas for dating and improving yourself. As an added bonus, now that I am married, I can use the ideas in this book to further strengthen my marriage. I can tell you from experience that a marriage with a strong foundation and based on real love, not lust, is where the REAL happiness lies.

What a riot! I gave it two stars, if only for the humor.

What a riot! I gave it two stars, if only for the humor. There's this chart 3/4 of the way through that showcases how slowly a relationship should go to avoid 'unnecessary sexual contact before marriage.' According to the chart, a kiss is acceptable after a month or so, but anything more has to wait until the couple gets married...in SEVEN MONTHS. The hypocracy was hysterically funny. On the one hand you should wait until marriage until you have sex, take your time to establish a deep and meaningful relationship...but on the other hand, seven months is viewed as an appropriate timeframe for marriage. I'm sorry, but don't you think rushing into a marriage is a little bit more harmful in the longrun than rushing into sex? I had girlfriends in high school that lasted longer than seven months. Also on this chart is a squiggly line showing the steps to a harmful relationship--friends to sex in one month, with a little note that says 'Too fast; seek professional help' or something like that. Gimme a break--that's not a 'relationship,' that's SEX FOR FUN, pure and simple. Relationships that progress that fast don't lead to marriage in the first place. It's called experimenting, and it's healthy. It teaches you what you like and don't like about partners (sexually or otherwise) before you make the mistake of marrying someone who you'll come to despise (again, sexually or otherwise) later. So as I said--I loved this book...until I found out it was completely serious. C'mon guys--you don't need a book to tell you this. Figure it out on your own, trust your own instincts. MAKE MISTAKES--you're allowed, you know.
