    Archie disappoints

Archie sends champagne to a man who beats his wife in this one. I love this series but this is my least favorite by far and seems out of character with the other Stout books.

    Nero wolfe is classic

If you are looking for a modern novel look elsewhere. Most of rex stout books came out between 1931 - 1973. This book involves a business man who got his kicks dirty. His wife wants wolfe to keep it discreet but to find her husbands killer without sullying the family name.
