The sample book says this is about mental disorders. Please read before you buy. One star for the sample not the book the actual book is great.

It was pretty good. The charcters were a bit stereotypical, and I couldn't stand the hero's mother; but I loved the twist at the end. It wasn't something you see in a lot of historical romances.

I got so fed up w/the female lead's assumptions about the male lead & dont get me started on his selfish mother & her excuses for not being there for her children.

This is a nice comfortable read. Jane is an 'old' spinster. Ethan is a rogue with a secret (aren't they all'? after jane brings the baby the ethan and accuses him of being the father she knows she not only wants to be the baby's mother but she wants ethan as well. He sees only a nagging woman--(and she is tops at nagging him)--he has known jane since they were children but begins to wonder what is beneath the mousy hair and ugly dress. Soon he doesn't even wonder he wants whatever is underneath. On a sensual scale of 1-10 it's a 4 but if you want your reads steamy--get over it and read this- it has a couple of secrets that are unusual for romance books.
