Killing Her Wasn't Enough. . .

Sixteen-year-old Adrianne Reynolds couldn't unravel the twisted tangles of jealousy and domination complicating her new life in East Moline, Illinois. What began as a fresh start after a troubled home life in Texas ended with Adrianne's body charred, stuffed into garbage bags, and scattered. It seemed the work of hardened criminals, but the truth was far more astonishing: her own "best friends" choked Adrianne to death and cut her up. Now, master crime writer M. William Phelps recounts this horrific saga of teen lust and violence in every gripping detail.

Phenomenal, accurate and factual. I live in the Quad Cities where this crime occurred. Phelps dove into the darkness of the killers, the anguish of the crime, and the collective grief of a community who still asks why this happened. I never missed an article or news report during that time, but Phelps dug up details that were not publicly known and told a story that will haunt me forever.

Recommended for the true crime readers

This is a very sad and disturbing story of a young life taken too soon. Phelps has done an incredible job researching and creating a timeline of the events that happened in the life of a young girl. He keeps your interest, page after page, until the facts come out about the disappearance and murder committed by "friends" of the victim. Warning, the events are disturbing.

    Good read.

This was an easy to read, well written book. It is a very unfortunate thing that happened, but the author seemed to do the needed research for it. It did skip around a little though.

Don't Waste Time Reading This Book

This book was very poorly written. The author rambles throughout and is unable to keep the readers attention. The character build up was ineffective and it seems just 2 people thinking and talking to each other. I couldn't even finish it because it was so mundane.

    Great book

This was yet another excellent book by by one of my favorite authors. Phelps gets to the point and keeps you interested without boring you with too many trial details.

This book was well worth the read. Perhaps a few had a hard time
wrapping their head around the subject matter, but that's going to
happen when it comes to youth and youth topics. Once you get beyond
    that, you get very involved.

    Heartbreaking

This a truly sad and heartwrenching account of the murder id 16-year-old, Adrianne Reynolds by 2 deeply disturbed peers. Although the book itself was pretty good there were some glitches in chapters 77 and 78 where the same page kept appearing over and over again...

    Page turner!

This was my first Phelps book but definitely not my last. I couldn't put it down. He presents the facts and captures the agony around this sad case. I only gave it four stars because he was just a tad (unintentionally) preachy about ICP, but that's understandable to some degree. Bravo, Mr. Phelps!

    Poor writing

The only well written part of the book is the first paragraph in chapter 70
