Don't waste your money on this one!

It isn't formatted correctly for viewing on the Nook, and there is little to no information about WHY something deserves to be on the list. A much better choice would be to pay a little more and get a Moon or Frommer's guide, which I did wind up having to do. B&N really needs to offer ebook refunds like Amazon, until they do, learn from my mistake and avoid this clunker.

    The quick and easy

When I have a busy schedule, it is nice to have the top ten items that I should consider visiting when I am in DC. This is simple and concise.

    DC Top Ten Helpful

We found this book to be very useful and practical on our trip to DC. I like that it is a nice size and fits easily in your purse or bag. The map of the metro and detailed downtown area is very helpful as well. It gives a nice overview of the most visited places and the trivia tidbits about each monument or area were very interesting. I would recommend this book if you are planning a trip to Washington DC. The pictures are nice and it's easy to read even for children.

    Not Really Top Ten

This travel guide is not bad, but it seems to leave out some important information. For example, there are many lists of Top Ten things to see, some of which are included in several categories. What I really needed to know was missing like moderate hotel recommendations and information on how to best navigate Mall (nearby metro stops, food availability, etc.) There is also no listing of things you should not bring when touring DC; things that might be confiscated at entry to government buildings (water bottles for instance). The book has useful information (the maps of the metro and Mall buildings were quite handy) but is not extensive enough for use alone.

    D.C. Trip

This was the only book we took with us. And it was very heplful. We used it for the entire week and never had a problem. D.C. was a great city and very friendly people. We are for sure going back.

    Great Personal Guide

I used this book everyday while I was in DC on vacation with my family. I used it to get ideas of where to visit, find out how to get to the different places, and learn information that made me appreciate the various sites better. The city maps were excellent, especially the Metro map . . . life saver! Great to the point, City Highlights book! And since it's hard to see everything in just one visit to DC, I will definitely be using this again when I go back!

    excellent, concise

We used this book extensively on our recent trip to Washington DC. Since we only had a short time to visit with children, the book gave us brief, spot on reviews and recommendations of what to visit, when, and how to get there. We especially used the top 10 resources recommended for children.
