Great Book, but don't buy it from B&N Nook; impossible to read any of the supporting letters or resumes

The book is great. But over half the book is dedicated to the real world examples of resumes, letters and reference documents. Almost all of these documents are scanned at such low resolution and bad quality that they are not readable. Contacted Customer service, got a good response that they would address this issue; then a week later got a form response telling me just to reload it and how to reload the book and retry it; however it still has the same problem.

    Practical résumé-writing tips for executives

The most essential component of any job search is, and has always been, the résumé. In this book, résumé specialist Katharine Hansen covers the basics and intricacies of résumé writing for candidates seeking executive positions. She explains, with thoroughness and an up-to-date sensibility, if not originality, that today's executive résumé must be more than a listing of positions and responsibilities. It must detail the candidate's challenges and accomplishments while defining his or her "unique value proposition" and creating a personal brand. Hansen explains how to do this and offers numerous examples, samples and case studies. She describes how to create a portfolio of marketing tools in addition to your résumé. getAbstract recommends this thorough, comprehensive reference as a valuable resource for anyone seeking an executive position, right up to the C-level.

When was the last time you updated your resume?

Whether one has recently entered the job market or like me, has always seemed to be offered jobs based on networking and knowing who and what is out there, every executive needs an up-to-date resume. After 2 or 5 or 10 years or whatever, a state of the art resume is a must. <BR/>Top Notch Executive Resumes is a great resource to help organize your thinking and put a bit of pizazz into your work history.
