I love recreating restaurant recipes and this book makes it so easy! I don't know how many recipe tryouts he had to go through, but I'm glad he saved me the hassle! Very worth while to make these recipes at home as you can adjust it to suit your tastes and needs.

I own all of Todd Wilbur's Top Secret Books, except this one. I have read this one from the local library, and want to buy it as well.. I have a birthday comming up, so I'm waiting--patiently... The books are wonderful! Who wants to make everything from scratch nowadays? Besides, he never claimed it was "scratch" recipes, he claims you can make these foods (and drinks) at home, and much cheaper than buying pre-made.. "The secret formulas for duplicating your favorite restaurant dishes at home". I am from Indiana, home of "White Castle Sliders", we lived for a time in AZ. When I made Todd's version of them down there, the whole neighborhood raved. I have been "duplicating" since!

I absolutely LOVE Todd Wilbur! I have 4 or 5 of his other Top Secret cookbooks and I haven't tried anything that I don't like yet. I always get rave comments about whatever recipe of his I have prepared. His recipes are easy enough for a beginner as well. You will not be disappointed in this book.

When looking to "recreate" a recipe, you need the entire recipe. The Outback Chocolate Thunder from Down Under does not use just some fudge sauce off the shelf. If I am looking for a recipe I want the entire recipe otherwise I could just buy box and bottle everything!!! Lots of the recipes follow this same pattern. I was very disappointed by the shotcuts this guy takes.
