An Outstanding Report by a WW II Pilot in the Air Force

Read every word of this book and found it to be outstanding. I could really relate to the testing to get into WW II Cadet program because I went through all of that. But, then I got put on hold and he continued since he was a couple of years ahead of me. My original class was 50 and we were down to 12 or 13 when we finally got discharged as surplus. His reports were extremely accurate and all was written in a very interesting way. The book was not at all 'braggy' and it contained a lot of facts and history. He must have really kept a lot notes that he was able to refer to. He also must have added some current research. His flying sure covered the Middle East. I am sure it was much different then but the stories he tells do relate to the places in today's news. I highly recommend this book to anyone interested in flying, the Air Force, and some World War II History. I never got bored for a minute.
