Meet the Author


CARRIE BEBRIS holds a master's degree in English literature and is a member of the Jane Austen Society of North America. A Wisconsin native, she now resides in Ohio.

KENDARE BLAKE holds an M.A. in creative writing from Middlesex University in northern London. She lives and writes in Washington. Anna Dressed in Blood is her first novel.

W. BRUCE CAMERON is the New York Times bestselling author of A Dog’s Purpose and 8 Simple Rules for Dating My Teenage Daughter, which was turned into the hit ABC series. He lives in California.

REBECCA CANTRELL majored in German, Creative Writing, and History at the FreieUniversitaet of Berlin and Carnegie Mellon University. A Trace of Smoke, her critically acclaimed first novel, was awarded Bruce Alexander and Sue Feder Awards for Historical Fiction.

DEBORAH COONTS has built her own business, practiced law, flown airplanes, written a humor column for a national magazine, and survived a teenager. She currently resides in Las Vegas.  She is the author of Wanna Get Lucky? and Lucky Stiff.

LISA DESROCHERS is the author of the Personal Demons trilogy. She lives in central California with her husband and two very busy daughters.  

CAROLE NELSON DOUGLAS is the award-winning author of more than twenty Midnight Louie mysteries, including Cat in an Ultramarine Scheme, Cat in a Topaz Tango, and Cat in a Sapphire Slipper.  She resides in Fort Worth, Texas.

RHIANNON FRATER is the author of The First Days: As the World Dies and two sequels, Fighting to Survive and Siege. She and her husband live in Austin, Texas.

KIKI HAMILTON believes in faeries and lives in Seattle. The Faerie Ring is her first novel.

MARY ROBINETTE KOWAL was the 2008 recipient of the Campbell Award for Best New Writer and a Hugo Award nominee for her story “Evil Robot Monkey.” Mary is an active member of the Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers of America and currently serves on the organization’s Board of Directors. Shades of Milk and Honey is her first novel and her second, Glamour in Glass, is forthcoming.

L. JAGI LAMPLIGHTER is the author of Prospero Lost and Prospero in Hell. She lives in Virginia.

JON LAND is the author of numerous bestsellers, including The Seven Sins, The Last Prophecy, and Blood Diamonds. He lives in Providence, Rhode Island.

NICOLE “COCO” MARROW is happily married to rapper and actor Ice-T. A former aerobics trainer, Coco has been featured in national magazines including People, Us Weekly, and Playboy and was the subject of a highly rated E! True Hollywood Story on hip-hop wives.

J. A. PITTS is a graduate of the Oregon Coast Writers Workshops and holds degrees in

English and Library Science. Honeyed Words is the follow-up to Pitts’s debut novel, Black Blade Blues.

CHERIE PRIEST is the author of Four and Twenty Blackbirds; Boneshaker, the first book in the Clockwork Century series; and several other novels. She lives in Seattle, Washington.

GABI STEVENS lives in Albuquerque, New Mexico, with her engineer husband, three daughters and two dogs. When she’s not writing, Gabi teaches eighth grade gifted language arts and literature, plays volleyball, and enjoys games. She is the author of The Wish List, As You Wish, and the forthcoming Wishful Thinking.

PATRICK TAYLOR was born and raised in Bangor, County Down, in Northern Ireland. Dr. Taylor is a distinguished medical researcher, offshore sailor, model-boat builder, and father of two grown children. He divides his time between Canada and Ireland.  His most recent novel is An Irish Country Courtship.

CARRIE VAUGHN had the nomadic childhood of the typical Air Force brat, with stops across the country from California to Florida.  She is the New York Times bestselling author of the Kitty Norville books, most recently Kitty’s Greatest Hits and Kitty’s Big Trouble, and she lives in Boulder, Colorado.

F. PAUL WILSON, the New York Times bestselling author of the Repairman Jack novels, including Fatal Error and The Dark at the End, and lives in Wall, New Jersey. In 2008, he won the Bram Stoker Award for Lifetime Achievement.
