Meet the Author

Mike Holgate, since graduating with an honors degree from Plymouth University in 1988, has combined three careers as a part-time reference librarian, semi-professional entertainer and local history author. His research on Devon's most infamous criminal John Lee was used by Granada Television for the crime series In Suspicious Circumstances in 1995 and a BBC Radio Devon play A Shadow of Doubt - the story of the Man They Couldn't Hang in 2008.
