There seems to be a widespread notion that belief is, in itself, a good thing, but in this book I argue that, for at least some people, freeing oneself from all belief systems brings a huge sense of relief. I illustrate this by describing my own experience of Roman Catholicism and Transcendental Meditation. An insider's view of religion and moving beyond religion.

The author did not know religion too well, considering he grew up with it. Most of the book was about meditation, and how he wrote other books on meditation. He even went as far to say that evolution has formed our brains to speak languages....as well a made to worship. This book is not 'skeptical', 'humorous', or anti-theistic. It should be labeled under Christian.
