## I'm mad that I just paid four dollars for 70 pages. It should be required to list the number of pages in the overview. The story was cute but again too short to be meaningful. The suspense lasted less than a minute and the conflict was pretty much non-existent. Too bad; this had potential but didn't quite cut it.Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Another really good story. Always amazed at the stories Melissa can create for as fast a read as this was. I loved Jack and Hannah and Hercules was adorable loved that dog. Joey and Papa Santini made an appearance and Jack's dad who I fell in love with last story. Would love to see him get a HEA waiting for the next ones .Was this review helpful? Gotta love a Semper Fi Marine!!
Captain Jackson Johnson is a Marine; and the worst that can happen to a career Marine is to be sidelined.
Jackson has always been a serious, dedicated, "Ooh-rah!" Marine, but while coming to terms with events of his last tour and the resulting PTSD, he purchases a house and proudly nurtures his garden.
His family think he’s losing his mind when every phone call turns into more venting about his neighbor’s dog trashing said garden; and while Jack knows it’s only because they care, their checking in with him incessantly is driving him mad.
But even Jack has to admit that he’s a little more interested in the wayward dog’s owner Hannah, than he would like to be. So when their final confrontation about her obnoxious beast takes an unexpected turn, all bets are off!
Like all the Semper Fi novellas, this one ended way to soon, but my love for ALL Ms Schroeder’s Marines continues to grow ¿

Jack Johnson was born to be a Marine. He has had a couple of rough deployments so he is stateside teaching at Camp Pendleton. He has taken some grief from his siblings as he is still un-married. His next door neighbor is a veterinarian with a huge mutt that likes Jacks flower bed. The more he interacts with the pretty vet over this the more he wants her in his bed. Like his brothers and sister he falls fast, hard and final.
Jack has been the mystery man so it was good to get to know him in this story. Though this is part of a series it can be read stand-alone. This is a quick, sexy, fun read you can’t beat.
