Book 4 in the One Night with Sole Regret serial series

He went there looking for a sure bet…
Sole Regret’s bassist, Owen Mitchell, is convinced that romance is for chumps. He’s only looking for a good time, and when he spots an attractive, older woman emitting men-suck vibes at a brand new sex club, he’s sure he’s found it.

She went there hoping to get over her ex-husband…
Successful business woman, Caitlyn Hanson, is still infuriated and hurt over her ex-husband’s affair with a much younger woman. She’s only looking to scrub his claim from her body by offering it to the first attractive man who shows her interest, and the young, hot stud, who just sat down at her table, will do quite nicely.

They never meant to get personal…
Caitlyn knows she’s not supposed to get attached to Owen just because he gives her body pleasure unlike any she’s ever known, but it’s her first one-night-stand and she can’t seem to keep her heart out of the equation. For once, Owen finds himself in the same conundrum. He likes Caitlyn too much to keep his heart at a safe distance, but will a mistake from Owen’s past drive her away forever?

Meet the Author

Combining her love for romantic fiction and rock 'n roll, Olivia Cunning writes erotic romance centered around rock musicians. Raised on hard rock music from the cradle, she attended her first Styx concert at age six and fell instantly in love with live music. She's been known to travel over a thousand miles just to see a favorite band in concert. As a teen, she discovered her second love, romantic fiction -- first, voraciously reading steamy romance novels and then penning her own. Growing up as the daughter of a career soldier, she's lived all over the country and overseas. She currently lives in Galveston, Texas.

    I ADORE SOLE REGRET

I have become slightly obsessed with this series. No, they are not long, but I feel that it packs a strong punch. There is a lot of details in these books, and have a strong connection to each member, while I am reading his story. Love the woman and love the sex scenes. I will keep buying if she keeps writing them!

    A must read

I love what Olivia is doing with this series, very unique. Each guy is so different but a typical man trying to be cool hiding what he feels are short comings. Owen is so sweet and just wants to be loved. Great to see how he tries to take care of everyone else. Can't wait to read the rest of his story.

    3.5 stars

This is the 4th in the series with about 125+ nook pages. It is an easy read, with steamy love scenes, and some conflict.

This is about Owen and Caitlyn who find each other in a sex club, his millionth time in one, her first. The both have emotional issues of self worth, and they seem to really connect on a lot of levels.

(This was an ok story. After the first 3 now 4th with ALL THE SEX this band has it just seems so unbelievable at times. That someone from the band should have some type of dieses by now with all the sex they seem to have.)

Not sure if I am crazy with the stories finishing like they do to have to buy the continuation in another book. Not liking this set of style with the writers who are doing this. By the time the continued book comes out I have forgot have of what was going on....

Satisfying Story Until the Frustrating Ending...

Owen's always been the fun one of the band, always doing whatever it takes to make people happy. He wears his heart on his sleeve and it oftentimes sets him up for heartache. He and Kellen are like brothers and often share their women, with a bit of attraction flaring between them as well, at least on Owen's part though he'll never admit it. Until now he's been happy meeting younger women at his sex clubs for one-night stands until the night he meets Caitlyn who completely changes his way of thinking. Caitlyn's older than him and looking for a bit of revenge against her cheating ex-husband. She's looking for a bit of boost to her self-esteem which is exactly what Owen gives her with his charm and flattery.

He and Kellen both start off the night with her but jealousy soon invades and Owen wants her only for himself. It's the first of many rules he has that he throws away to be with her. Since all the women before didn't want to talk, this is the story where we dig deeper into Owen's background. What we find is a teenager who was overweight, picked on, and had self-esteem issues of his own. He now keeps things superficial for fear of being hurt like he was in high school. That is until he finds a kindred spirit in Caitlyn and therefore desperately wants to form a relationship with her. What follows are numerous scenes of a charming Owen winning her over completely while burning up the sheets, and various other locations, with a giddy Caitlyn.

Caitlyn starts out the story very embittered towards men but slowly unwinds and takes on a playful personality. She's truly happy and discovers some uncomfortable truths about herself that further help her heal her heartache. Her and Owen are fun to watch together as she's the smart and studious type whereas he's still the class clown bent on bringing a smile to her face and if the story had ended there I would've been thrilled. But, like the other books in this series, there are loose ends left hanging. The biggest loose end is the reappearance of the annoyingly whiny Lindsey, who shows up pregnant and just KNOWS that Owen's the father even though she slept with every member of the band and then some. Her reappearance is pure soap opera and made me despise her even more for her carelessness and the position she's now in that Owen can't help but try to fix. What could've been a satisfying HEA ends up being overly melodramatic. It's unfortunately hinted at that Lindsey is going to be paired with the brooding Kellen, who's still trying to get over the death of the love of his life, which means that we're stuck with her. I can only hope that Ms. Cunning works some big magic on this character to make her more likable in the next book. This was not a bad story but could've been so much better without the obvious soap opera melodrama included.

What can I say, Olivia rocked this book as she does with all the others. Owen is super HOT!!! The books leave you hanging but makes you think about what is going to happen next. If you haven't read the other books, you are missing out. Not only does Owen make you laugh and boy does he make you laugh, he always makes you want to protect and cling to him. The next book is sure to rock!!!!!!

Oh boy! Olivia Cunning has done it again! If you have read any of her other books and enjoyed them, then this one will be no different. Every time I think her last book is my favorite , she finds a way to top it. This story is focused around Owen, the bassist in the band Sole Regret. Owen is a man who doesn't do relationships. Instead he chooses to frequent sex clubs to find his next conquest. One night after their show, Owen and his best friend Kellen go to a local club where he meets Caitlyn. Caitlyn is stepping out of her comfort zone because her ex-husband cheated on her with one of his students. She knows word will get back to him and wants to make him jealous. Owen also introduces her to Kellen but when she starts to ask personal questions, Owen tells her to stop & that anonymous sex means just that anonymous. But soon he finds breaking his own rules. He wants to get to know her and he even decides to spend time with her outside of the club. Owen wants to spend more time with her but she is very truthful with him and lets him know that she is fresh out of a divorce and isn't looking for a relationship. They both feel so safe with each other and she agrees to spend another night with him at their next show. BUT just as she's being talked into spending even more time with him, someone from the groups past shows up & threatens everything. Will this ruin their budding relationship? All I can say is that this has one killer ending that leaves you wanting MORE MORE MORE. With only a few books left in the series, I sure do hope we get an answer to the bombshell dropped on the group!! Oh yeah & it may go without saying but of course the sex scenes don't disappoint.

    - "Would you like to sit?" Kellen asked her.
-"You'd better do it soon," Owen whispered close to her ear, "or I'm going to bend you over that table and break the club's no-penetration-in-the-lounge rule."

I enjoyed Owen's story. It was good to get to know him more intimately. I can't wait to read Kellen's story, and to see where the rest of the members of Sole Regret stories progress. I really like these guys, although The Sinners are still by far my favorite, esp. Brian "Master" Sinclair. That being said, Owen and Caitlyn both deserve happiness and deserve it with each other. We shall see where that cliffhanger leads. However, my one complaint is the whole Owen fantasizing about Kellan thing. I really am hoping this does not turn into the Trey/Brian thing. I really don't care for the whole one best friend/band member constantly "falling" for his bestfriend/band member. Enough. Let that go. Let Owen have his happily ever after and Kellen have his happily ever after, with different people. They can still be best friends. I don't want another Double Time. Please don't do that Olivia Cunning. Just let these two guys be best friends and band members, and each one love the woman of his dreams!!

    Not great.

I waited for the next book in this series for months, not worth it. I did like Owen's story but it didn't work for me like the others did. The ending was shocking for sure. I am a little nervous who 's relationship will be impacted. I will continue the series, I love these Sole Regret boys. I have high hopes for Kellen. Please write quickly Olivia and remind us why we LOVE your books!

I really enjoyed Owen's story. Had me laughing so hard it brought tears to my eyes. Loved the humor and quick wit of Caitlyn. She and Owen had the same sense of humor and each gave as good as they got. The ending did leave you hanging, but again, that is what happens in these series books to get you to buy the next installment. Looking forward to Kellen's story. Since Kellen is so serious, hope that a bit of the humor in this book will carry over!
