Meet the Author

My career as a novelist began when I was twenty-three, with a phone call from New York announcing that CAROLINE would be published by Ballantine Books. Can you imagine my excitement? I went on to write 12 more bestselling historical romances set in Colonial America, Regency England & America, Medieval England & France, and the American West.

My novels have won many awards over the years, but what means most are readers' messages like this one: "When I read your books, I can't wait to turn the page, but never want the story to end." It's been a thrill to have all my novels published as eBooks (newly edited, with gorgeous new covers!). I'll also release a new Raveneau novel, TEMPEST, in 2012.

Today I live in northern California with my husband, Alvaro, in a 1930's Spanish cottage. When we aren't riding our tandem road bike or traveling in our vintage airstream, I love spending time with family, especially my two young grandsons. I also recently received a degree as a Physical Therapist Assistant and feel blessed to have two rewarding careers!

I'd love to have you join me at my website:

Ms. Wright is a Wonderful Storyteller! Ms Wright has a way of making you feel you are apart of the story. The character's of Meagan and Lion are strong, and well written. Yes, I became very frustrated with Lion - more than once. But, when he explains how he was raised, I became somewhat more forgiving. The secondary character's are so richly written, as they are in all the author's novels. You will use all your emotions in this series, and at times I felt drained. I loved how the author weaved important historical figures into the story. Meagan was so full of life and you will love how strong of a character she is from the start. Yes, there is lovemaking, but well written, and not very suggestive. From the start sparks fly between our H/H and the romance builds until you can't wait to see how it ends. (ljb)

    An enjoyable read!

Moved along very nicely and characters were flawed in a very real way.

    Ehh

Not one of my faves. Was very tedious..usually a 400 pg book only takes me a couple hours, this took me two days. Did not like Lion, he was a jerk the whole time and meagan just put up with it. Only a one time read for me.

    Such an amazing storyteller

This book was captivating from start to finish. So well researched. I love how she integrated so many historical figures and gave them life. I immediately purchased more of Cynthia Wright's books.

    It was OK

This book was OK. I did think Lion was a total jerk and treated Megan like garbage most of the book. She was borderline most of the time with her behavior towards Lion. This just wasn't my cup of tea. Interesting historical facts throughout were more entertaining and myself being a native Philadelphian, I enjoyed that the story took place in Philly.
