I must respectfully disagree with the author of the previous review. I found this book delightful and entertaining...it was hard to put down! Dr. Balliet has the ability to amuse her audience as few other animal authors do. I don't get any feel of city folks being demeaned. This is a great "feel good" book...a real keeper! Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Report this reviewThank you, this review has been flagged.

I usually love a good animal book. This is the first one that was ruined (for me) by the author. She spent so much time belittling 'city lifestyles and city people' and foisting her opinions on the reader, that the animal tales seemed secondary to her life. I can wholeheartedly recommend Marley and Me, The Parrot Who Owned Me, The Parrots of Telegraph Hill, Enslaved by Ducks. I cannot recommend this book. Was this review helpful?
