Editorial Reviews

Library Journal
From a young Darkovan's discovery of his laran-based affinity with Terran technology (Aletha Biedermann-Wiens's ``Kefan McIlroy Is Snared'') to a Terran psychiatrist's encounter with an unusual case of Darkovan multiple personalities (Diana L. Paxson's ``The Frontier''), this collection of 20 stories set in the world of the Bloody Sun explores the many facets of the mind-based powers (``laran'') that make the world of Darkover unique. Fans of the popular series will enjoy this tenth anthology of short fiction by veteran authors and newcomers. Purchase where necessary.
