This is a textual and visual feast of life in a busy city and on a busy farm. Seasons are not as important when you live in the city because there are libraries, museums, and aquariums to visit, and shops that are sometimes open all night and all day. In the country, life is more in tune with the seasons. Rain and sunshine are needed to make sure the crops grow. Every family member has chores to do and there is plenty to do from early morning until evening. While the double and one and a half page spreads are the main focus of the book, its size and straightforward text would work well in a small group. There is a lot to see and talk about in the beautiful illustrations.
