I bought the other 3-pack of minis (the sedan, coupe, and truck) and my son loves them so much that when these new ones came out I absolutely had to get them. They're super sturdy (and if by chance something does get broken Automoblox will replace the piece free of charge as long as you register your purchase with them. And quickly!) and all the pieces are interchangeable so kids can make their own unique models. In my opinion the minis are even better than the originals, just the perfect size for little hands. There are so many good points about these toys that I could go on for ages. Trust me, you want to get these, you (and the kid you're getting them for) will not be disappointed. I guarantee it. Also, I just noticed that the packaging says 3 & up, but my kiddo has been playing with these nearly every day since he turned two and we have no untoward incidents to report. As long as your little one is past that "I put everything I see in my mouth" stage (because the wheels are detachable and about the same diameter as a nickle) you should fine.

I purchased a set of these in 2008 for in the playroom at my house (I take care of my grandchildren) They loved these soooo much, they love to take them apart and put them together in different ways. I got a second set at Christmas 2009, also for the playroom. They love it, and now they combine the two sets to make even more cars. I suggest you make the kids put them back in the box after each, use so the pieces don't get lost. GREAT TOY!

I bought these for my daughter at two (i know, recommended age is three). She loves these cars. At first she was frustrated with trying to put the tires on the vehicles but now....She has no trouble pulling these cars apart and putting them back together. Not to mention, they have really helped her identify her colors better. The cars can be mixed and matched with other similar in size cars, liken to car legos. I have also purchased these as gift for several other kids between the ages of 3 and 6, all boys. Both the kids and parents loved the vehicles so much they purchased more. Highly recommend. Be sure to use supervision of ages under the manufacturers recommended age limits.

My two little boys love Automoblox, and I like them, too. The cars are sturdy as other people have mentioned. The first ones we bought were purchased over a year ago and played with a lot (by a toddler, too!) and have held up. They are creative because they allow kids to design different cars and then fun to race around. We use our wooden blocks to build roads and tunnels. They're a nice collection to add to over time. For Easter and Christmas and other little holidays, I buy another pack or car for a nice treat that , granted, costs more than a matchbox car, but provides a lot more long-term enjoyment. I only give them four stars because they are expensive especially to start out because they are more fun the more pieces you have, and not all the tire treads are interchangeable, which is a source of frustration for one of my sons.

These cars appealed to me because of their looks -- so modern, simple and yet so cool. They appeal to my four year old because they come apart and he can make them look the way he wants (nothing that you'd imagine a car should look like). We have more than 15 of the mini ones and a few of the big cars. They are well made and really fun to take apart and put together in different configurations. I would highly recommend these toys for children who like building blocks and other construction toys. There are small parts, mainly the wheels and tires, so they are not suitable for little kids. My son started playing with them when he was around 3.

My grandson loves these cars. He takes them all apart and creates a whole different model. Tires come off wheels and they go back on and are designed to do so. A Great toy for any child.

The Automoblox Mini 3-Pack is a great gift for a 3 or 4 year old. It is a toy that most young children don't already have in their toy box. Even if they do it is nice to have more of these cars to share with friends. They are durable and educational. They come apart and are interchangeable. They help with developing a child's fine motor skills. (The parts are not microscopic.) My 3 year old nephew loves this toy.

We bought 2 sets of these for Christmas, 1 for our 2 year old nephew and one for our 2 yr old son and they have been a VERY BIG HIT!! Our nephew plays with his all the time as well as our son. He has a blast creating different cars and trying to put the originals back together, our 9 yr old son is enjoying them about as much as the 2 yr old! It's pretty obvious this is just the beginning of this collection in our household! Our son will be 3 in July and we WILL be adding to his Automoblox collection! I'd like to get him the other 3 piece mini set and a few of the large ones! These toys are very well constructed, our son hasn't broken any part of any yet and TRUST ME, that's saying A LOT!! My mother-in-law informed me that our other nephew, a 4yr old was visiting and he was playing with his cousins cars and didn't want to let them go home!! Needless to say, he just got a set from us for his birthday, this was a little boy that had shown little to no interest in playing with cars until he discovered these!! For a 2 1/2 year old to play with ANYTHING for more than 20 minutes is really saying something!!!
