My son wanted the Battery Powered Thomas with Jet Engine. I had already called Toys R Us and a few other places and none of even knew it existed. I checked B&N site and there it was. Located the store that had it. Called them up and they held it for me at the cust. service counter. I went to the store and I was in and out in 15 minutes (there was a line at the registers)toy in hand. Drive to Store...15 Minutes Battery Powered Thomas with Jet Engine less 10% member discount...$18.00 Smile on my little boys face... Priceless
Three Words: Cheap plastic garbage: My kid absolutely had to have this after seeing the video so I forked over the high cost for it. It went like a bat of of you know where and was amusing but it broke very easily (lasted five days). After which it wouldn't run at all. Poor quality motor and drive so out of character for this brand of toy. My son has a table and more than half of all the trains they offer and this was the first stinker. I opened the jet engine up to try and repair it only to discover what poor materials went into making it. Like all Dads called upon to fix broken things this one left me having to tell my teary eyed son that I couldn't fix it. My kid was so disappointed and wanted to play with it so badly I finally took the motorized "guts" out of it so he could push it around like all the other trains. Well at least the light on it works. Shame on the Thomas folks for making such a poor quality toy! It was not what you'd expect from such a good brand.
