It's the perfect book for beginners and self starters in crotchet. Illustrations are clear, and what's more, the materials are all included to begin and complete several projects that can be used immediately! Highly Recommended!

I bought another book before I tried this one. This book is much better. Very good illustrations and easy to follow directions. My daughter and I taught ourselves to crochet thanks to this book. The quality of the yarn in the kit is wonderful. I highly recommend the kit.

The description of stitches and diagrams were easy to follow and the enclosed supplies were good to get going. At the craft store I found a crochet hook in the same size as the one in the kit, but with a bamboo handle that made the repetitive motions easier. The images were easy to translate from right hand dominance to left. I'd recommend this to those of any age wanting to start crocheting.
