The box says "Flight Control Tardis" implying that it flies. I bought this for my classroom and couldn't wait to show the kids. I knew things were amiss when I opened it and found that there was no controler. I didn't have any batteries so it was a few days before I realized that it was actually just a sound effects Tardis, not a "Flight Control Tardis." Given, the box didn't say it was radio or remote controlled but the name implies flight, which is not accurate. The thing is, I would have purchased this anyway since I'll buy just about anything Doctor Who related but I was very unhappy about the misleading name. It should be called "Realistic Sound Effects Tardis" instead. The construction is great and it's beautiful. Love that the doors open and the light actually lights up. Sound effects are super. My kids love it but were also disappointed that it didn't hover or move.

It is pretty cool. The kids really like it but it doesn't have much explanation on use. It says you can spin it but I am not sure if I would for fear it would topple and tweak the door mechanisms. It also doesn't have a spinnable piece on the bottom that I can figure out. It makes the sounds as it says but you have to make sure and turn it off. It doesn't stop until you do or if you don't have it sitting on its bottom where there is a nub that triggers it to work. Also not sure if it will make any sounds while spinning because of that nub. Also, the door mechanisms are finnicky and work sometimes.....

I agree with the other review. I don't usually review my purchases, but i was disappointed that my TARDIS didn't fly like the name implies. You can balance it between fingers on each hand and make it spin, but that is it. Also, the doors open and the inside does have the illusion of being bigger on the inside, however if I had of known that it didn't fly, I probably qould have bought a different TARDIS to start my collection with. Otherwise my family and I really do like this and the sound effects are pretty cool.

Are you two serious? Typical dumbass that thinks that you really should turn pink when someone tickles you! If you had bothered to read the description then you would have seen that it clearly says that it doesn't actually fly. Maybe you should build your own TARDIS and travel back in time and educate yourself a bit more...Smh!
