My youngest son loves to help make the contraptions in this book and then play with them. Older children enjoy making them by themselves. The directions are very clear and easy to follow. The results really work. We've tried about half of the contraptions so far and are very pleased with all of them. It's also a great gift because everything you need is provided.

This set kept my 9 year old significantly interested for a few days. He enjoyed creating each model and trying it out. Some worked better than others. I think he would say he enjoyed it enough to want to give it to a friend as a birthday gift.

Instructions in this book are clear and well-layed-out graphically. My grandson immediately began reading it, and he is not the most motivated of readers. The contraptions described are fun, innovative, and quick to build. I highly recommend this for those "out of the box" builders of unusual devices; or for someone who needs to see results quickly, clear and concise directions, and good visuals.

This the one of the better lego sets because children are encouraged to use and reuse the pieces again and again. The added bonuse in the case attached to the instruction booklet. I would buy another as a gift as it is sure to please any Lego fan.

This was purchased for my nephew's 8 yr. old son who had surgery and had to stay in bed when he came home from the hospital. My nephew said his son began working on the projects immediately and appeared to be enjoying making them and then playing with them.

My inventive grandson loves it. This is great for a child who loves to build, but wants more than just stay in place walls and figures.

I am pleased that I can now purchase Legos so my adult son can share his love of legos with his son...I know they both have an awesome time designing and building unique creations!

Our 7 yr. old grandson had no trouble making some pretty neat workable contraptions with this set and its instructions. He is a Lego fanatic and this set provided a new dimension.

It is a very educational Lego set -- kids can enjoy the lego play while learning something about simple (and not so simple) machines.

My son loves this kit! Some of the bands that came with the kit broke, but we substituted rubber bands, which worked just as well. you can follow the steps in the book or improvise the designs.

Young grandson was intrigued when he opened this present (Christmas gift), however, the fun part was that his Uncle was even more intrigued!!

My grandson requested moving parts for his Lego collection, and this hit the spot. Lets him create more things without buying a 'licensed' kit for only one specific item.

This is not a huge book and box of pieces, so if you're out of room in the toy chest, fear not. We bought this as a gift for an almost-7-year-old boy who loves Legos and vehicles of all kinds.

I bought this book for my sons best friend for his 9th birthday and it is a hit! The boys play with this book and their extra legos for hours making up all the contraptions in the book and then some. This is a must have if your child loves Legos. My son is hoping to get the book for his birthday now.
