Summary: This is a makeshift mess of overpriced stuff, called "kit". Do not buy it. Details: Raspberry Pi is a great product (and costs only 35$). It is quite usual, that small electronic companies buy it from the producer, add a couple of necessary bits and sell it as a kit. Unfortunately, this kit does not offer much more than the RPi, especially not "Deluxe", as promised: 1, The book is outdated and NOT about the RPi2 model included in the set! 2, The HDMI cable is shorter than 2 ft (3 to 6 ft is the suggested length in the book), and very stiff to such a delicate device: it will be really difficult to connect to your monitor. 3, The power supply is NOT what is shown on the box and in the leaflet: the USB cable can NOT be detached from it. (Instead they dropped in an extra USB - micro USB cable) 4, The worst part is where it really should shine as a "kit": the "60+ circuit components" are NOT what is shown on the box and in the leaflet. E.g. my kit does NOT have the simple push-button switches (as shown on the box!), and has 3 LEDs only. The rest of the circuits are completely undocumented, unknown products - useless for any tinkering without info. No further information on the website either. The examples in the book are obviously based on a different kit. 5. There is NO heat sink in the "Deluxe" kit, although it is really recommended if you put your RPi into a closed case (like the one in this kit). Even the book suggests using it. There are much better kits on the market for more reasonable price. Look for them.
